I have also realized that I could really do with getting a new soundcard as the newest driver update from motu didn't work and I'm using the driver that came on original cd. but after going through as many possible solutions as I could possible think of. how and why I do not know, and I'm not clever enough to understand. After re-installing all the plugins and vst intsrument (with jbridge) and making sure everything was installed in the correct place it seems to be behaving itself, and alll whilst running in 64-bit!. The exact thought went through my head, however, it seems I have managed to cure the problem.

I've also tried switching off all effects, plugins and vst instruments and switching between the motu drivers and asio 4 all. I've made sure I have installed the latest cubase update and also the latest motu drivers, but no success. Unfortunately, I am unable to open up old projects as the asio instantly overloads and the sound glitches out. I've just upgraded from cubase studio 4 to cubase artist 6 64-bit on my pc running windows 7 64-bit, and my soundcard is a motu 828 mk2.
